英語で行う中学校１年生の授業：ケンちゃんといつでもティーム・ティーチング（全台詞）

平成29年３月公布の新学習指導要領では、中学校でも「授業は英語で行うことを基本とする」とされています。このことに関しては、別ページ「授業は英語で」で改めて議論しますが、ここでは20年以上も前にすでに行っていた実践を紹介します。

中学校１年生に対して英語で授業を行うのなど無理だとお考えの先生もいらっしゃるかもしれませんが、そうではないことをここで証明いたします。確かに、急に英語でやろうとしたり、普段日本語で話している内容をただ英語に翻訳して話したりするだけでは授業は成り立ちません。中１の最初から易しい英語で話しかけ、生徒にも英語で話すことが当たり前だと思わせる授業をしてきたからこそ、半年後にこの授業が可能になっているのです。どうか、そのあたりを読み取っていただければと思います。
